Paul and Heather Shields Owners and founders After owning an ad agency for 25 years, and tiring of that game, Paul began the evolution of Antler Expressions in the early 90's. Paul is still the lead designer of Antler Expressions. With Don and Doug he hand selects the antler used in each piece. He then works with the team or the customer on the design. No piece leaves the shop or showroom without his approval and signature. In spite of his perfectionism and grumpy nature, his team members seem to stick around, and his wife Heather somehow has made it an incredible 21 years with him! Heather, along with Jan Oliver, are the Antler Expressions self proclaimed "WIC" (Women In Charge). They keep the administrative end of the business in line. Mike and Jan Oliver Founders of Distinctive Burl Designs Mike and Jan founded Distinctive Burl Designs in 1991 and teamed up with Antler Expressions five years ago. Now Mike's singular woodworking artistry brings an entire new dimension to our hybrid antler and burl designs. All of the burl designs are hand cut and finished by Mike. Don Carruthers Shop Foreman Don started apprenticing with Antler Expressions over seven years ago. In that time he has shown remarkable talent, not only in building the chandeliers but in design artistry as well. He has snatched the pebble from several hands and is now the lead builder and works with Paul on all new designs. Aside from his duties as shop foreman Don is also an accomplished Saxophone player and is a fixture in area jazz clubs along with the rest of his talented family.	Don Carruthers Shop Foreman
Doug Scott Master Craftsman Doug began with Antler Expressions a couple of years ago and has proven to be a master craftsman with an uncompromising eye for detail and design. His big Elk chandeliers are among the finest we have produced. We wish we could keep Doug in the shop more but he disappears every year end of August through October. Yes he hunts a lot but the biggest antler he ever sees is right here in our shop!	Doug Scott Master Craftsman
Dean Jacobs Master Craftsman One of the original builders for Antler Expressions, Dean is extremely busy in his own 50 year old family upholstery business. He is an experienced member of our design/crafting team and as time allows, he lends his skill and expertise to our line of products. Philip Crossley Upholstery and Furniture Designer Phillip brings a combination of cutting edge upholstery and furniture designs that segue beautifully with our antler and burl styles. His family has been creating custom furniture for lodges and individuals worldwide for over 50 years. Sara Dramstad Wildlife Portrait Artist Sarah, a Montana native, is an exceptionally gifted artist. Sarah's specialty is detailed wildlife portraiture. The beauty of her single filament, original acrylic paintings speaks for itself and adds volumes to the finished design. She especially enjoys the challenge of more difficult African game animals. Jan Adams Artist Jan, resides in Idaho, specializes in single filament oil paintings. Her art graces many of our chandeliers and furniture suites. She is a talented wildlife artist who brings a unique touch to the finished design.	Jan Adams Artist
Vern Pine Wood and Antler Carver Vern is a master wood and antler carver builder who lives in a little town in North Idaho where he enjoys the outdoor lifestyle.
